Women & Gender Equality
We believe gender equality advances when women and girls can access their rights, develop their capacities and shape the decisions that affect their lives. Dar Al Maghreb turns identified needs into practical action through initiatives that address gender-based violence, sexual and reproductive health and rights, economic empowerment, entrepreneurship and women’s access to justice and opportunities.
Through community-based learning, capacity building, accessible information and advocacy, we work to strengthen women’s autonomy, participation and ability to navigate the challenges they face.
WHY THIS WORK
Turning Barriers into Opportunities for Change.
Women and girls can face interconnected barriers to safety, education, healthcare, economic independence, employment and participation in decision-making. These challenges require more than awareness alone: they call for accessible information, practical skills, knowledge of rights and opportunities to act.
Our work responds to these needs by bringing information closer to communities, strengthening capacities and creating opportunities for women to apply what they learn in their everyday lives. We aim to help turn awareness into informed choices, skills into opportunities and the recognition of rights into meaningful participation.
